CTET Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 


Last Date: 18/09/2019. 

The Central Board of Secondary Education will lead the thirteenth Edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 08/12/2019 (Sunday) for a contender to be qualified for the arrangement as an instructor for the class I to VIII. Up-and-comers can apply just On-Line for CTET DEC-2019 on CTET official site – www.ctet.nic.in.

The Validity Period of CTET qualifying authentication for arrangement will be seven years from the date of presentation of its outcome for all classifications.

Instructive Qualifications for getting to be Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage 

Senior Secondary (or it's comparable) with at any rate half stamps and passed or showing up in the conclusive year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

Or on the other hand

Senior Secondary (or its equal) with at any rate 45% stamps and passed or showing up in the definite year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), as per the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

Or then again

Senior Secondary (or it's proportional) with at any rate half checks and passed or showing up in the conclusive year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

Or on the other hand

Senior Secondary (or it's identical) with at any rate half stamps and passed or showing up in the definite year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

Or on the other hand

"Graduation within any event half checks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)"

"(a) who has gained the capability or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE perceived establishment will be considered for the arrangement as an educator in classes I to V gave the individual so designated as an instructor will compulsorily experience a multi-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education perceived by the NCTE, inside multi-year of such arrangement as an essential educator".

Instructive Qualification for getting to be Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage 

Graduation and passed or showing up in the conclusive year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Or then again

Graduation with at any rate half checks and passed or showing up in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

Or then again

Graduation with at any rate 45% stamps and passed or showing up in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), as per the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued every once in a while in such manner.

Or then again

Senior Secondary (or its proportionate) within any event half stamps and passed or showing up in the definite year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

Or then again

Senior Secondary (or it's proportionate) within any event half checks and passed or showing up in the definite year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Or on the other hand

Graduation within any event half checks and passed or showing up in 1-year B.Ed. (Exceptional Education)*.

Or on the other hand

Any applicant having qualified B.Ed. Program perceived by the NCTE is qualified to show up in TET/CTET. In addition, according to the current TET rules circled vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, an individual who is seeking after any of the instructor training courses (perceived by the NCTE or the RCI, by and large) indicated in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is additionally able to show up in the TET/CTET.

Structure and Content of CTET-2018: 


All inquiries in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four choices out of which one answer will be generally proper. Each conveying one imprint and there will be no negative checking.

There will be two papers of CTET. 


(I) Paper, I will be for an individual who goals to be an instructor for classes I to V.

(ii) Paper-II will be for an individual who goals to be an instructor for classes VI to VIII.

Paper I (for Classes I to V) Primary Stage :

The span of examination: Two-and-a-half hours

Structure and Content (All Compulsory): (Appendix I)

(I) Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 MCQs 30 Marks

(ii) The language I (necessary): 30 MCQs 30 Marks

(iii) Language II (necessary): 30 MCQs 30 Marks

(iv) Mathematics: 30 MCQs 30 Marks

(v) Environmental Studies; 30 MCQs 30 Marks

Absolute: 150 MCQs 150 Marks

Paper-II (for Classes VI to VIII) Elementary Stage :

The span of assessment: Two-and-a-half hours

Structure and Content (All Compulsory): (Appendix I)

(I) Child Development and Pedagogy(compulsory): 30 MCQs 30 Marks

(ii) The language I (necessary): 30 MCQs 30 Marks

(iii) Language II (necessary): 30 MCQs 30 Marks

(iv) Mathematics and Science: 60 MCQs 60 Marks

(for Mathematics and Science instructor)

(v) Social Studies/Social Science: 60 MCQs 60 Marks

(for Social Studies/Social Science instructor)

*For some other instructor – either (IV) or (V)

The Technique for Submission of Online Application Form: 


Stage 1: Log on to CTET official site www.ctet.nic.in.

Stage 2: Go to the connection "Apply Online" and open the equivalent.

Stage 3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No.

Stage 4: Upload Scanned Images of most recent Photograph and Signature

Stage 5: Pay Examination Fee by e-challan or charge/Mastercard and net banking

Stage 6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.
